Definition Engine: A motor is a machine, that produces mechanic energy, i.e. movement with force, from chemical or other energy. Combustion engines convert the chemical energy, that is contained in fuel, into the mechanical energy that is needed for the locomotion of the vehicle. The fuel is burned with this and has to be refueled. It can be expected, that the nowadays predominating utilized gasoline and diesel engine will be increasingly be replaced by other kinds of motors, perhaps by electrical or hydogen engines, due to running short of the base material crude oil.
